After a crazy series of events in the last minutes of the game, Hapoel Jerusalem escaped with a thrilling 81-80 victory against SIG Strasbourg in the BCL Round of 16.

The MVP of the game was by far Zach Hankins, who helped Hapoel Jerusalem first survive and then produce the comeback with an incredible double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds shooting 13/16 from the field.

Levi Randolph, who has now played five games against his former team Strasbourg in the BCL, scored 14 points including the game-winner, while Speedy Smith ended the game with 11 points and 8 assists.

Marcus Keene, who scored more than 20 points in each of his previous two games in the BCL playoffs after doing it only once in his six games during the regular season, was unstoppable for Luca Banchi’s team with a double-double of 20 points and 12 assists and scored the temporary winning three-pointer.

Rodions Kurucs added 19 points and 6 rebounds, while Bodian Massa ended the game with 6 points and 13 rebounds.

With this loss, SIG Strasbourg is no longer unbeaten in Group I and has been reached by Hapoel Jerusalem at a 2-1 record. The other encounter between the Israeli side Hapoel Holon and the French team JDA Dijon will be played on Wednesday at 20:00 CET.
