Joan Sastre and Jonathan Rousselle stay with Tenerife and Dijon

Tabbing Dusan Ristic and retaining Elgin Cook, Lenovo Tenerife now reached an agreement to extend the contract of Joan Sastre.

Sastre, 31, committed for the next two seasons with the new contract including an option for one more season, the team announced Thursday. The experienced swingman arrived for the Canary Islands outfit in 2021 and was crowned champion in the 2021-22 edition of the Basketball Champions League. Carrying the experience of 31 games played, he is set for more action in FIBA Europe’s top-tier club continental competition.

JDA Dijon recently confirmed Jonathan Rousselle as a returning player. David Holston and Gregor Hrovat will be running it back as well. Additions so far feature Cameron Hunt and Dylan Affo Mama.

The latest contract renewal announced by Pinar Karsiyaka kept 28-year-old center Mert Celep for the 2023-24 season. More of the same from Hungary champions Falco Szombathely re-upping both 31-year-old forward Boris Barac and 30-year-old forward Matt Tiby for one more season.

Telekom Baskets Bonn scores double

Welcoming new players, multiple regular-season participants completed signings, including defending champions Telekom Baskets Bonn.

Rebuilding the squad under new head coach Roel Moors, Bonn brought in former Havard standout Noah Kirkwood on a one-year contract and inked German forward Benedikt Turudic to a two-year contract Thursday. Till Pape and Florian Koch were the first summer additions.

Coming off a season in Turkiye’s second-tier division, Hofstra product Desure Buie jumped to MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg on a one-year contract.

Promitheas signed 26-year-old forward/center Chris Coffey for the next season.

Similarly, Hapoel Atsmon Playgrounds Holon penned 26-year-old forward Yotam Hanochi to a 1+1 contract, besides re-signing 24-year-old guard Shahar Amir.

Qualifiers teams

Apart from teams directly to the BCL Regular Season, Legia Warsaw strengthened its Qualifiers bid by moving in 26-year-old forward Michał Kolenda.

BG Gottingen added 24-year-old guard Osaro Rich and Cholet acquired 25-year-old forward Emmanuel Nzekwesi.
