A season-high scoring showing by Trevor Thompson stood out for Peristeri bwin on Tuesday.

The team coached by Vassilis Spanoulis edged out Unicaja, 76-73, in Gameday 6 of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season.

After finding out the Play-In opponent with Rytas drawing the matchup, Peristeri finished Group A at 3-3. Thompson making 8/10 two-pointers and posting a 22-point, 11-rebound double-double was the driving force in Peristeri Arena. Recent addition Jermaine Love returned to the Champions League with 16 points, three assists, and two steals. The all-time BCL leader in double-doubles, Joe Ragland fell narrowly shy of one more with ten points and nine assists against the Malaga outfit. Kenny Williams finishing with ten points completed the double-digit scoring field.

The Greek club was locked in the third seed with Ibon Navarro’s side already through to the Round of 16 as the top team of the group. Shooting 3/19 from beyond the arc and the loss in Athens shaped a 4-2 record and snapped a five-game winning streak across all competitions, including rising to 11-3 and second place in Spain’s Liga Endesa. Kendrick Perry putting up 16 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals was not enough for a sixth straight positive outcome. Tyson Carter followed pairing 12 points with seven rebounds.

Jaylen Hands was sidelined for Peristeri due to an injury. On the opposite end, Kameron Taylor sat out alongside injured teammate Jonathan Barreiro (left wrist surgery).
