Ludwigsburg dominates fourth quarter to defeat Dijon

German teams are dominating in Group J of the Basketball Champions League Round of 16.

MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg broke down JDA Dijon in the fourth quarter to claim a 71-59 victory and tie with Telekom Baskets Bonn at 3-1 at the top of the group standings.

As usual, Jayvon Graves led the scoring for the German team with 20 points. He extended his streak, scoring 20 or more points in each of his seven home games, improving the longest such stretch in competition history.

Silas Melson added 11 points, but Michael Hughes II achieved the game-high PIR of 22, thanks to a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds, helping his team dominate the glass, having 19 rebounds more than the French side (43-32). Jeff Roberson also finished in double digits with 10 points.

For the losing side, only two players scored in double figures, with Gregor Hrovat recording 12 points, and Ahmad Caver scoring 10.

Dijon led 25-32 after a tough first half, but Ludwigsburg staged a comeback in the third period before completely dominating the guests in the final 10 minutes, with Graves leading the way to victory.
