Bursaspor became the first team to advance to the 2025-26 Basketball Champions League regular season from the Qualifiers.
Behind a powerful defensive performance, Bursaspor beat the Antwerp Giants 77 – 58 to win the Qualification Round Tournament 2. The Turkish side returns to the BCL regular season after 2023-24.
Bursaspor made an outstanding 30 – 9 run through the first and second quarters to close halftime up 41 – 28. Nenad Markovic’s players proceeded to grab and retain a commanding advantage for the remainder of the game to qualify to the regular season in style.
V.J. King had 16 points, six rebounds and three steals for Bursaspor. Brandon Childress added 12 points and Berk Akin dropped 11 points
Joel Murray (12 points) and Vincent Kesteloot (10 points) scored in double figures from the Giants.
Bursaspor will participate in Group C, together with Joventut Badalona, Hapoel Holon and Cholet Basket.
In Qualification Tournament 1, Patrioti Levice and Bakken Bears will face each other in the Final for a regular season spot.
Andre Wesson dominated on both ends with 24 points, 14 rebounds and six steals to lead Patrioti Levice past Kalev/Kramo 81 – 69.
In the other semifinal, Tymu Chenery (21 points, five rebounds) and Sylvester Pedersen (20 points) pushed the Bakken Bears to a 82 – 77 win over Heroes Den Bosch.
