Igokea recorded its first win of the season in the Basketball Champions League, as they defeated Trieste in the third round match of Group E on their home court, with a score of 91-76.

An excellent performance in Nenad Stefanovic’s team was delivered by American Breein Tyree, who finished the game with 27 points in just 23 minutes on the court (3/7 for two, 6/8 for three). Alongside him, JeQuan Lewis scored 13, and Dragan Milosavljevic added 11 points.

For the visitors, Mady Sissoko had 17 points and nine rebounds, while Jahmi’us Ramsey added 15. Once again, Juan Toscano-Anderson, a former NBA player, underperformed with just four points.

Igokea resolved the game in the first quarter, which the home team won 27-12. From that moment, Trieste was only once within a single-digit difference (61-52), but they failed to pose any serious threat until the end.

Igokea achieved a very important victory, which is also their first, following two initial losses. On the other hand, Trieste stands at a 0-3 record, and in two weeks, they will host the same opponent in northern Italy, in a match they must win if they wish to continue in the BCL.
