This was the first week in which the matches of the same round were split over two weeks.
All matches of the third round of the Basketball Champions League have concluded, and we still have seven undefeated teams.
After a fantastic eight games held last Tuesday and Wednesday, these past two days were no less exciting.
It all began with Trapani winning a thriller against Bnei Herzliya (77-74), AEK also survived a dramatic finish to defeat Levice away (71-69), while Tenerife beat Tofas (81-64) and Alba overcame Nymburk (94-78) on the first day.
On Wednesday, the action started with Mersin’s win over Karditsas (81-73), as well as Szolnoki’s dramatic victory against Riga, in a game where the Latvians had a shot for the win (77-76).
Finally, Chalon defeated Sabah (84-71), while Unicaja overcame Oostende (102-80).
Interestingly, with the victories achieved by Unicaja and Tenerife, Spanish teams have reached a 12-0 record this season in the Basketball Champions League, as all four teams are currently at a 3-0 performance.
