Adam Somogyi wins Basketball Champions League Player of the Week award

Prevailing in a fan vote, Adam Somogyi was named Player of the Week for the fourth week of Basketball Champions League Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL.

The 25-year-old guard of NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz was confirmed as the Player of the Week on Friday. On Thursday, he was placed in the Team of the Week with Kendrick Perry of Unicaja, Sam Griesel of ALBA Berlin, Chris Silva of AEK, and Giorgi Shermadini of La Laguna Tenerife.

On Wednesday, Somogyi tallied a 17-point, 12-assist double-double alongside five rebounds and four steals, helping the NB I/A champions prevail in a tight affair opposite VEF Riga in DVTK Arena. In total, he is up to 13.3 points, 8.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 0.3 blocks per contest over three BCL appearances in the 2025-26 season.

A Gameday 3 win lifted his side to 2-1 in Group F. The continental campaign resumes in Bratislava, with a Gameday 4 matchup versus Patrioti Levice on November 11.

Back in the first week of FIBA Europe’s top-tier club competition, teammate Ryland Holt got the Player of the Week nod.
