Levice achieved a victory in the fourth round of Group F of the Basketball Champions League, after overcoming Szolnoki Olaj on their home court with a score of 73-71 following a dramatic game.
Once again, the hero was Ricky McGill, who ended the match with 29 points (11/23 from the field), four rebounds, and two assists. To remind, in the previous two games he scored 20 and 22 points.
Alongside him, Gabe Dorsey scored in double figures with 17 points, while Will Carius added 12. On the other side, Auston Barnes scored 25, while Tams Pallai had ten points.
A great match full of twists was played in Slovakia. The guests from Hungary convincingly won the first quarter (30-17), making it seem they would achieve an important victory.
However, Levice reduced the visitors’ lead, brought the match into a dramatic finish, and ultimately claimed the triumph. The guests had an opportunity for an overtime or a win, requested two time-outs, but ended up empty-handed as they didn’t even attempt a shot in the last possession.
After this game, both teams have two wins and two losses. Levice will visit AEK in Athens in the fifth round, while Szolnoki will also play away against Riga.
