JD Notae of Trapani Shark, Malte Delow of ALBA Berlin, Keith Jordan of Sabah, Jack White of Mersin Spor, and Chris Silva of AEK fit in the Basketball Champions League Team of the Week.
The five standouts for the eighth week of Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL, were announced on Thursday, following exciting action all around Europe on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Notae, Delow, Jordan, White, and Silva have entered a fan vote on the official Champions League portal to decide the Player of the Week. The winner will be announced on Friday.
Per the press release: βThe Basketball Champions League Season X continued with eight games on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday gives us time to reflect on the best individual performances.
The eighth Team of the Week saw players from Trapani Shark, ALBA BERLIN, BC Sabah, Mersin Sports Club and AEK BC make the cut.
Trapani handed Tenerife their first home defeat in over four years, ending what was a 31-game winning streak on the island. J.D. Notae played the crucial part in that one, taking the Italians to 3-2 in Group D.
ALBA BERLIN played an impressive game against Elan Chalon on Tuesday, and overtook the French side to claim the top spot in Group B with one game left to play. Malte Delow was their superhero coming off the bench.
In that same group, BC Sabah made history by becoming the first Azerbaijani team to win a BCL game, taking down ERA Nymburk, keeping their chances of making the Play-Ins alive. Keith Jordan was their best player.
Mersin Sports Club secured a spot in the Play-Ins with a win over Karditsa Iaponiki, and Jack White dunked his way to a big double-double on the road.
Finally, the middle belongs to one of the most dominant players this competition has ever seen. Chris Silva was once again a force to be reckoned with for AEK BC, keeping their record perfect at 5-0 and reaching the Round of 16.β
