The Play-In phase of the FIBA BCL has concluded, where eight new teams secured their spot among the 16 best, joining the eight teams that already did so after the group stage.

Five series were resolved after two games, while three series went to deciding matches.

Trieste, Tofas and Wurzburg advanced further

One of these was played on Tuesday, with Trieste being the first to secure a spot in the next phase by defeating Szolnoki Olaj away (87-86). The hero for the Italians was Jeff Brooks, who scored after an offensive rebound with 0.2 seconds left to advance his team.

The first match on Wednesday also brought drama, as Tofas secured their place in the next phase by defeating Cholet (84-82). The French came back from a double-digit deficit and even had a shot to advance, but Nathan de Souza was off target.

Lastly, Wurzburg claimed the final ticket for the Round of 16, having lost the first game against Levice, but convincingly winning the second and third games to advance. In the deciding match, they defeated the Slovaks with a 92-71 score.
