Jabari Parker has returned to Spain, and despite not having made his debut yet, the excitement he has generated among the Joventut Badalona fans is extraordinary. The American power forward arrives at Joventut with the goal of becoming a key player during the most crucial part of the season and fueling the dream of achieving great things, with a BCL Final Four appearance in Badalona on the horizon.
Selected second overall in the NBA Draft and with his time as a Barça player still fresh in his mind, Parker arrives with the reputation of an international star and a message marked by ambition. “It’s a great opportunity for me. I’m very happy to be back in Barcelona, in Catalonia. I’ll do everything I can to give my best; that’s what I do in life, take advantage of every opportunity.”
The American highlighted the team’s potential and emphasized the importance of building cohesion before the upcoming games. “We have a really good team, and now I’m trying to find the situations where I can contribute the most. We’re building chemistry before the next games.”
The main objective is clear in the locker room: to compete for the Basketball Champions League title. “We have a great opportunity and a great chance of winning the BCL. I will give my best to contribute. That is our goal as a team: to win the championship. But first, we must finish in the Top 8; right now, that is the priority.”
Parker arrives ready to prove that he is one of the most talented players on the European scene. “I always demand the best from myself. I didn’t come here to be mediocre; I want to be my best,” mentioning his chemistry with Ricky Rubio and Ante Tomic as key to the team’s success: “With players like that and with my arrival, we have the opportunity to do special things.
