Simas Lukosius has been named the Basketball Champions League Player of the Week following an outstanding performance for Rytas. The 23-year-old guard secured the honor after a dominant display in the fifth week of the Round of 16, ultimately prevailing in a 24-hour fan vote.
Working toward becoming the latest Player of the Week in Season X, powered by Ameresco SUNEL, Lukosius provided an efficient offensive spark during a crucial victory over Le Mans in Twinsbet Arena. In just 19 minutes of action, he tallied 18 points, fueled by an impressive 6-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc. His well-rounded contribution also included three rebounds, two steals, two assists, and a block to help secure the win.
Currently sitting at 3-2 in Group I, the Vilnius outfit now prepares for a showdown against Galatasaray MCT Technic in Istanbul. This upcoming road challenge at the Turkcell Basketball Development Center is vital for the Lithuanian side as they aim to clinch a coveted spot in the Quarterfinals.
