Galatasaray MCT Technic appointed former club player Vladimir Micov as Sporting Director midway through the season. However, the Serbian executive’s tenure with the Turkish club appears set to end much sooner than expected.
According to a report by Can Bedel of Eski Açık, Galatasaray MCT Technic has decided to part ways with Sporting Director Vladimir Micov.
Micov, who wore the Galatasaray jersey between 2014 and 2017, began his management career in Serbia after retiring from professional basketball in the summer of 2022.
The former Serbian international took over as Sporting Director of Galatasaray MCT Technic during the second half of the 2025–26 season and played a key role in the process that led to the appointment of head coach Gianmarco Pozzecco.
Despite the expectations surrounding his arrival, Micov’s spell as Sporting Director is set to be significantly shorter than anticipated, with the club reportedly deciding to move in a different direction.
