The Basketball Champions League arena is shifting as several clubs bolster their rosters ahead of the 2026–27 campaign, which tips off with the Qualification Rounds.
In their opening summer move, Asisa Joventut penned Alex Reyes to a 2+1 contract. The 33-year-old small forward brings valuable continental experience, having previously appeared in 28 Champions League games with BAXI Manresa and Surne/RETAbet Bilbao. He comes off a strong campaign in Spain’s Liga Endesa, where he averaged 13.3 points while shooting 39.9% from beyond the arc.
Fellow contender Galatasaray MCT Technic secured a major frontline commitment from Turkish national power forward Berkan Durmaz. The imposing 2.06-meter big, a product of the Tofas youth academy, injects deep domestic and international expertise into the Lions’ roster. His extensive resume includes 25 league appearances split between the Bursa outfit and Pinar Karsiyaka, besides impactful stints with Besiktas Emlakjet and Turk Telekom.
Meanwhile, Bnei PenLink Herzliya solidified their long-term core by confirming that 25-year-old swingman Noah Carter will return for another year. Looking to make their own push, BMA365 Bamberg Baskets added versatility by signing 25-year-old Jordan Wright, who already boasts 12 BCL appearances from his time with PGE Start Lublin and Aliaga Petkimspor.
Teams battling through the grueling preliminary stages are aggressively shaping their depth charts. Manchester has constructed a formidable unit by retaining foundation pieces Kaiyem Cleary and Kayne Henry, while bringing in Ciaran Sandy from the London Lions and Jonathan Brown from the Bristol Flyers.
Equally determined to survive the Qualifiers, Dziki Warszawa strengthened its paint by re-signing 29-year-old forward-center Lukasz Frackiewicz. Qualification Round rivals Rasta Vechta upgraded their perimeter depth by tabbing 25-year-old guard-forward Armaan Franklin.
