Trabzonspor has solidified its roster ahead of the upcoming Basketball Champions League Regular Season, which officially tips off on October 6. The Turkish club announced the signing of 31-year-old Marcus Keene on Thursday.
A familiar face in the league, having averaged 18.1 points per game over 14 appearances with SIG Strasbourg two years ago, the 1.75-meter guard adds to a deep rotation for head coach Selcuk Ernak. The roster already consisted of Ege Arar, Yigit Arslan, Batu Bircan, Isaiah Canaan, Troy Caupain, Tolga Gecim, Alican Guney, Royce Hamm Jr., Shaquille Harrison, Brady Manek, Yigit Mestoglu, Ridvan Oncel, Emanuel Terry, Xavier Tillman Sr., and Akwasi Yeboah. They will compete in Group A against Nanterre 92, Sabah, and the defending champions, Rytas.
On Tuesday, Hapoel Maoz Daniel Holon secured 26-year-old Skylar Wicks on a three-year contract. The former Saint Francis standout joins a squad featuring Shahar Amir, Netanel Artzi, Liran Azoulay, Claudell Harris Jr., Sam Iorio, Brandon Johns Jr., Yair Kravitz, Greg Lee III, Yam Nevo, Ori Ofir, Liad Shmuel, Itai Shnaps, Adama Sanogo, Rivaldo Soares, Drew Thelwell, and Idan Weissbach. Coached by Predrag Krunic, the team is set to face Cholet, Spartak Office Shoes, and Rasta Vechta in Group F.
Elsewhere, AEK completed a multi-year deal with 20-year-old Dimitris Zervos on Wednesday. The Greek side immediately sent the young player on loan to Near East. Meanwhile, the Queen will compete in Group C, where they are scheduled to play Falco Szombathely, Windrose Giants Antwerp, and Salon Vilpas.
