The inaugural Team of the Week for the eleventh season of the Basketball Champions League features Khalif Battle of Cibona, Gytis Radzevicius of Rytas, Frank Bartley IV of AEK BC, Mohamed Diarra of Cholet, and Willy Hernangomez of Unicaja.
Following the opening slate and Thursday’s announcement, the BCL launched a public poll for fans to determine the Player of the Week. Supporters can submit ballots via the official website. The 24-hour voting process concludes Friday.
Battle propelled the Zagreb outfit with 32 points by shooting 6-of-7 from deep and adding five assists for a 33 efficiency rating during his side’s return to the Champions League after ten years.
Radzevicius powered up the reigning champions, logging his ninth career BCL double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds for the team based in Vilnius.
Bartley, the reigning Season X Most Valuable Player, delivered 27 points, including 11 in the final five minutes, to spark a thrilling 95-93 late comeback victory for the Queen.
Diarra generated 23 points in just 24 minutes without a single turnover, shooting 5-of-8 from three-point range to secure a victory for the French club.
Hernangomez pushed the Malaga outfit to a blowout with a perfect 23 points on 8-of-8 shooting, nine rebounds, and four assists while posting a game-high +29 rating in 20 minutes of play.
The opening week saw 16 games played across Tuesday and Wednesday to tip off the 2026–27 season. Action resumes next week with eight fixtures to start Round 2.
