Leicester Riders have applied to enter the Basketball Champions League for the 2018-19 season. If the team’s application is successful they will be the first British team in European competition for over a decade and the first ever in BCL.
It will also be the team’s first European competition experience since the 1991-92 season, when the Riders faced Spanish powerhouse CB Zaragoza in the first round of the second tier Korac Cup, losing both games.
