Strasbourg’s veterans seal the deal against medi Bayreuth

The 67-63 win of SIG Strasbourg against medi Bayreuth was decided in the last minute because of the experience of the hosts.

With one minute left, the score tied at 60 and the game on the line, Mardy Collins got the rebound, Ali Traore made a layup, stole the ball in the next possession and Mike Green got fouled and made two free throws. Thanks to that crucial 4-0 run, Strasbourg got the advantage with 29 seconds left and the Germans didn’t have an answer.

Nicolas Lang scored 19 points for the winners, Traore had 17 and Green added 12 to go along with eight rebounds and seven assists. Adonis Thomas with 18 points was the top scorer of the guests but missed two key free throws in the closing seconds.

Strasbourg remains on top of Group D with a 2-0 record, while the Germans are at 0-2.
