Kevin Punter, Bologna edge Bayreuth and grab playoff ticket

Medi Bayreuth scored the first basket of the game but that was their only lead as Segafredo Virtus Bologna had complete control in the 93-83 road win on Day 11 of Basketball Champions League.

Kevin Punter banked 22 points for the Italian team in addition to Tony Taylor’s 17 and Amath M’Baye’s 15 points. On the other side, De’Mon Brooks scored 16 and Adonis Thomas 17 points while Andreas Seiferth had 14 points and nine rebounds.

Bologna improved to 9-2 and secured a spot in the playoffs while Bayreuth stands at a 4-7 record in Group D.
