Demitrius Conger signed with Hapoel Jerusalem for one and half month with an option until the end of season. The 28-year-old American small forward will return to Europe after his NBL stint with Adelaide 36ers to help the Israelis in the Basketball Champions League playoffs and in the domestic competitions. Chris Johnson’s injury got Hapoel on the market for a forward.

Commenting on his new player Oded Kattash said: “Demitrius signing shows the team’s willingness to compete for all the titles. We needed to strengthen our forward position ahead of the Basketball Champions League playoffs because of Chris Johnson’s injury. Beyond his known playing abilities, Conger has proven able to fit in a system running together for a long time”.

Conger began the 2018-19 season in the BCL with Le Mans. He averaged 8.6 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist in five Champions League contests, before continuing in Australia. This will also be his second stint in Israel after playing for Hapoel Tev Aviv at the end of the 2015-16 campaign.
