AEK inked Mario Chalmers to a deal, the Basketball Champions League participant announced on Monday. The 33-year-old American point guard was on his way to the Queen, as recently reported.
The Kansas alum last played for Segafredo Virtus Bologna helping the Italian team capture the 2018-19 Basketball Champions League title. He has won a couple of NBA championships with the Miami Heat and a NCAA title as well.
Chalmers will return to BCL finding the Greek team sitting at 2-1 in Group B. Ilias Papatheodorou’s side is also 2-4 in Greece’s Basket League.
Additionally, AEK informed earlier via press release that Georgios Tsalmpouris contract was terminated upon mutual agreement between the player and the team.
