While preparing for the 2023 FIBA World Cup, where Team USA will face Greece, Jordan, and New Zealand in Group B, Steve Kerr officially became an actionist of RCD Mallorca, Spanish football club that plays in the first division. He joins Steve Nash, another shareholder of the club owned by Andy Kohlberg.

“I am a friend of Andy Kohlberg and we were together this summer. He told me that there has been a change in ownership and he offered me the option of being part of the new investment group. I am very motivated, I was in Mallorca last summer watching a match, supporting the team, and becoming a fan. It’s a very exciting opportunity”, the Golden State Warriors head coach first said.

The Team USA head coach expressed all his joy for this new move. “I became a fan of RCD Mallorca last year and by becoming involved in the Club now I will see all the La Liga matches. It is quite motivating and not only from a point of view as a shareholder but with everything that involves putting your heart in and being part of the Club and that is exciting”, Steve Kerr added.
