Turkey beat Puerto Rico with a 72-64 victory in their FIBA World Cup preparation game in the Suzhou Atlas Tournament.

Cedi Osman was the leading scorer for the winners, adding 12 points, while Yigit Arslan scored 10 points and Melih Mahmutoglu added 9 points.

It was a tough match-up for the players of coach Ufuk Sarica, who were tested by a scrappy opponent. Still, they had a 39-25 lead and kept things under control until the end.

Turkey will now face the winner of the Senegal – Venezuela pairing on Sunday.
