Raduljica on Serbia underachieving: “I wouldn’t put it that way”

BEIJING – Miroslav Raduljica talked to the media after Serbia defeated the Czech Republic and captured the fifth spot in the FIBA Basketball World Cup.

When asked on if the players are underachievers, given the fact they were considered favorites, Raduljica disagreed: “I wouldn’t put it that way. This is basketball. If someone said this is a tragedy for the national team I wouldn’t agree. There are many more things in life that are tragedies. This is a sport. If we knew who is gonna be the first before the tournament, we wouldn’t be here”.
