Spanoulis guides Olympiacos past AEK

Olympiacos got away with a 100-86 win against AEK on Day 21 of the Greek league and bounced back from its Friday loss on the road against Unicaja. The winners improved to a 17-4 record, while AEK now falls to 13-8.

Vassilis Spanoulis was one assist shy from a double-double and led the Reds with 21 points.

Nikola Milutinov dominated the paint and finished with a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds, while Bobby Brown was also positive with 15 points and four rebounds.

Janis Strelnieks also finished in double-digits for Olympiacos, adding 18 points. Giorgos Printezis and Kostas Papanikolaou were missing due to injury. For the losing side, which also didn’t have injured Manny Harris for this game, Kevin Punter scored 24 points.

Greek league action continues on Monday when Panathinaikos hosts Aris in Athens and is looking to keep its undefeated record.
