PAO got the win, Aris got Verginis

The 1st gameday of the Greek league was completed with Panathinaikos beating Aris at Salonika (71-56) and Ikaros getting the win against Apollon Patras just by two points (67-65). The Greens secured the result after a big third quarter, which had a 29-14 partial score in favor of the guests.

Aris has also a reason to smile even after the defeat, since the team agreed to terms with Greek guard Dimitris Verginis. The player was training in Bilbao, his wish was to get a contract there, but he didn’t get what he wanted and returned to Salonika.
