Olimpia Milano faced a lot of injury problems this season, and even before Legabasket Round 16, they had lost six matches.

Ettore Messina’s side was on the verge of another loss, but thanks to Devon Hall’s three-pointer with 20 seconds on the clock, the Italian champions prevailed over Bertram Derthona Tortona 83-82.

Hall was the hero, but Nicolo Melli was the best player on the pitch, ending the match with 23 points and eight rebounds, while the US guard scored 14 points.

Shabazz Napier again struggled with his three-point shot but managed to contribute 14 points and nine assists for Milano.

For the losing side, Tashawn Thomas had 23 points, Colbey Ross scored 17, while Leonardo Candi and Artrus Strautins added 11 points each. Kyle Weems also finished in double figures with 10 points.

On Monday (16/1), Virtus Bologna crushed Happy Casa Brindisi 103 – 76 as Marco Belinelli and Iffe Lundberg scored 16 apiece. The hosts were without star forward Toko Shengelia, who will be sidelined at least for the next 10 days.
