With Dario Saric leading the way (18 p., 6 r., 2 as., 2 st., 2 t/o, 1 bl.) Anadolu Efes despite missing injured Nenad Krstic got the 76-66 road win against Nizhny Novgorod. Efes led even by 20 points (65-45) at the end of third quarter.
The team of coach Ivkovic controlled the game from the start and Nizhny manage to cut the final points difference to 10 points thanks to a good last period. The hosts got within six (72-66) with one minute to go, but a three pointer by Stratos Perperoglou and then 1/2 free throws by Stephane Lasme decided the final score. Defense dictated the pace and without injured Kinsey, the offensive options of Nizhny were very limited.
