The Spanish Liga Endesa doesn’t organize an All Star Game, because they have a much better idea. The “Copa Del Rey” tournament which will be held in the Canary Islands this year is a four days tournament which will the decide the winner of the Spanish cup, between the top eight teams of the standings after the end of the league’s first round. The festivities of the tournament remind a lot an All Star game, however the competitive nature of the games and the fact that the teams are competing for a title makes things much more interesting.
After the draw which was held today the quarterfinal couples are the following: Joventut – Gran Canaria, Real Madrid – Zaragoza, Barcelona – Valencia, Unicaja – Bilbao. The tournament will start on the 19th of Ferbuary and will conclude on the 22th of the same month.
