Maccabi Tel Aviv had under control most of the game against Zalgiris, the Lithuanians cut the lead to four (75-71) with 21 seconds left on the clock, however in the end the defending champions got the 79-72 win.
Jeremy Pargo scored 26 points, Devin Smith added 19 and this duo was the best Maccabi had to offer on the court. Arturas Milaknis was the top scorer of Zalgiris with 19 points as the Lituanians were close until the third quarter. Maccabi entered the last period having a double digits lead, but flirted with disaster at the end. Still, the champs got what they wanted.
