BBL started with shock in Munich

In the aftermath of coach Dirk Bauermann’s firing, Bayern Munich started its season in Beko BBL the worst possible way. The Bavarian team lost at home to Oldenburg 80-61, with only one of its players, Chevon Troutman (photo), scoring in double digits (14 p.). It was a really ugly performance against a balanced team which played like a unit. The game was decided in the second quarter when the partial score was 21-8 in favor of the guests.

The two representatives of Germany in Euroleague, defending champions Brose Baskets and Alba Berlin, got the wins against Bremerhaven (85-68) and Artlant (94-62) respectively. The other games for the 1st gameday in German league are the following: Ludwigsburg – Skyliners 74-56, Bonn – Mitteldeutscher 83-76, Hagen – Giessen 68-73, Braunshweig – Ulm 91-92, Tubingen – Trier 66-77, s.Oliver Baskets – Bayreuth 67-73.
