Olimpia Milano was trailing for 38 minutes of the game against Happy Casa Brindisi but still managed to come out victorious with 92-87 on the scoreboard in the Italian League.

Milano was down 87-81 in the fourth quarter and, led by Ben Bentil, put on an 11-0 run to close the game and grab the win. Bentil scored eight of those 11 points.

He finished with 16 points and five rebounds while Troy Daniels led the scorers with 19 points and also chipped in down the stretch with 2-2 free throws.

Jerian Grant scored 14 and Davon Hall 13 points. For Brindisi, Alessandro Gentile scored 18 in addition to Nick Perkins’ 14 and Alessandro Zanelli’s 13 points.

It should also be noted that Milano couldn’t count on Malcolm Delaney and Sergio Rodriguez, as well as Nicolo Melli, due to injuries they suffered during the taxing Euroleague series against Efes.

This win has kept Milano (23-5) close to the top-seeded Virtus Bologna (25-3) while Brindisi waisted a great opportunity to enter the playoff zone. They now hold a 12-17 record and trail behind three teams with 13-15 records.
