Milan rallies past Trento, Virtus Bologna falls to Reggio Emilia

Closing the first half of Italy’s LBA UnipolSai Regular Season, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan overcame a sloppy start to defeat Dolomiti Energia Trento, 79-74, in Il T Quotidiano Arena. Shabazz Napier with 17 points and Devon Hall with 16 points fueled the comeback from an early 16-point deficit on Sunday. Maodo Lo (left thigh), Billy Baron (right elbow), Shavon Shields (right thigh), and Nikola Mirotic (Achilles) remained sidelined. For the hosts, Andrejs Grazulis scored a game-high 20 points in the Round 15 contest.

In PalaBigi, UnaHotels Reggio Emilia stormed back in the fourth period to take down Virtus Segafredo Bologna, 72-66. Kevin Hervey posted a 24-point, 12-rebound double-double. On the losing end, Gabriel Iffe Lundberg neared his season-high with 20 points. Marco Belinelli (rest), Ognjen Dobric (ankle), Devontae Cacok (knee), and Jordan Mickey (thigh) were out.

Besides the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague outfits, Umana Reyer Venice, Germani Brescia, Trento, Reggio Emilia, Generazione Vincente Napoli, and Estra Pistoia qualified for the 2024 Frecciarossa Final Eight. The midseason tournament will be held in Turin’s PalaOlimpico in February.
