Olimpia Milano takes important win over Brescia, Virtus Bologna retains top spot

Two of the top three teams in the Italian Legabasket clashed in Round 29, with Olimpia Milano emerging victorious.

Led by Shabazz Napier, the defending champions took down Brescia 83-77 at Mediolanum Forum, moving one step ahead of their rivals with a 21-8 record (Brescia fell to 20-9).

Napier led the way with 19 points and eight assists, while Shavon Shields had a good all-around game with 16 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Nicolo Melli followed with 13 points and eight boards.

On the other side, Miro Bilan scored 20 points, C.J. Massinburg added 13, while Amedeo Della Valle and Kenny Gabriel contributed 12 points each.

Despite Olimpia Milano’s win, Virtus Bologna remains at the top with a 21-8 score, thanks to a 77-84 road win over Tortona.

Tornike Shengelia stood out with 15 points and six rebounds, while Isaiah Cordiner, Daniel Hackett, and Ante Zizic each scored 11 points.

On the other side, former Bologna player Kyle Weems scored 13 points, Retin Obasohan and Tashawn Thomas added 12, Colbey Ross followed with 11, and Leon Radosevic with 10.
