Vitali, Brescia upset Milano on the road

The Italian League semifinals have started with the clash between AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milano and Germani Basket Brescia and the latter team came out on top with a close 85-82 road victory.

Brescia came out on the floor with more focus and energy, creating an eight-point advantage after ten minutes (21-13) which they kept throughout the game. Despite not actually taking over the lead, the hosts tied the game at 78 after Vladimir Micov’s 3-pointer with two and a half minutes remaining. They couldn’t completely turn it around as Brescia players finished the game the right way.

Michele Vitali led the victors with 20 points and a game-high index value of 30 while Bryce Cotton added 14 points. On the other side, Micov led his team with 17 in addition to Arturas Gudaitis’ 14 points.

Game 2 of the series will be played on Saturday 26th of May as Milano will have one more chance to please the home crowd.
