The Houston Rockets are in talks with multiple teams on possible trades involving Clint Capela, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The Swiss center is contracted up to the conclusion of the 2022-23 season, will receive approximately $16.5M for the 2019-20 season, $17.5M for the 2020-21 season, $18.5M for the 2021-22 season and $19.5M for the 2022-23 season. The trade deadline for NBA teams is set for February 6th.

The Atlanta Hawks are reportedly among the teams with interest in Capela. The Rockets themselves are looking to acquire a wing and center or draft compensation for the 25-year-old center. Worth noting as well that a potential trade will likely send German big Isaiah Hartenstein to an improved role.

In his sixth NBA campaign, Capela is posting 13.9 points, 13.8 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.2 assists per appearance through 39 games. Houston currently sits fifth in the Western Conference sporting a 31-18 W-L tally.
