Miles Bridges named Rising Stars MVP, U.S. Team beats World Team

Team USA overpowered Team World, 151-131, in the NBA Rising Stars game that was held on Friday evening at Chicago. Miles Bridges was named MVP and became the first player of the Charlotte Hornets to ever claim the award.

Bridges went for 20 points, five rebounds, five dimes and three steals to receive four of seven possible votes from a six-member media panel and NBA fans. One of the other votes went to Eric Paschall who poured a team-high 23 points. Overall eight out of the ten players scored in double-digits.

R.J. Barrett led the World Team with 27 points. As for the Europeans, Luka Doncic posted 16 points, five assists, a couple of boards and one steal. Moritz Wagner also had 16 points to go along with his four rebounds and two interceptions. Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk threw in six points, four boards and a pair of assists. Nicolo Melli three points, five rebounds and a couple of dimes.

Earlier, Team Wilbon defeated Team Stephen A. 62-47 in the Celebrity Game that was played at the Wintrust Arena. Chicago’s own Common was named MVP.
