NBA Board of Governors expected to approve season format on Thursday

The NBA is planning a Thursday (June 4) vote of the league’s board of governors, when team owners are expected to approve commissioner Adam Silver’s proposal on a format to restart the season on July 31 in Orlando,  Florida, as reported by ESPN.

This timeline would give the NBA two more months to finish organizing the season resumption and get players back to practice through individual and team workouts. Teams that will participate in the league’s return for the conclusion of the regular season and playoffs will then have to travel to Orlando and quarantine before activities begin again.
