29 NBA teams voted in favor of the 22-team format to restart the season

The NBA’s Board of Governors has voted to approve the league’s 22-team format to restart the 2019-2020 season in Orlando, according to Shams Charania.

There were 29 teams in favor of the decision while only one, the Portland Trail Blazers, voted against. The matches are scheduled to begin on July 31 while the free agency will hit on October 18.

Meanwhile, per Adrian Wojnarowski, the dates for the Draft Lottery and the Draft itself have been set to August 25 and October 15 respectively.

The games will feature the top 16 teams in the two Conferences at the moment of the league’s suspension plus New Orleans Pelicans, Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs, Sacramento Kings, Phoenix Suns, and the Washington Wizards.
