Lue, Joerger among Sixers coaching candidates

The Philadelphia 76ers were forced to a first-round exit in the 2020 NBA playoffs after being swept by the Boston Celtics and are expected to part ways with coach Brett Brown.

So far, there are four emerging potential candidates to replace Brown per The Athletic’s Shams Charania: Los Angeles Clippers assistant coach Tyronn Lue, 76ers assistant Ime Udoka, Dave Joerger (former Memphis Grizzlies and Sacramento Kings coach) and Villanova’s Jay Wright.

Brown took over the Sixers in 2013. Last season the team made the Eastern Conference semifinals and faced a heartbreaking elimination by the Toronto Raptors that went on to win the championship.
