After ten years the Los Angeles Lakers are going to the conference finals ending the longest drought in franchise history. For LeBron James, it was a much smaller break for just one season, however with 29 points, he also returns triumphant after the 119-96 win over the Rockets in Game 5.

Kyle Kuzma scored 17 points, Markieff Morris had 16, Danny Green added 14, and Anthony Davis finished with 13 for the Lakers who will face either the Clippers of the Nuggets.

James is going to the conference finals for the 11th time overall, but this is just the first time in the West after last season’s failure.

For the losing side James Harden scored 30 points, Jeff Green scored 13 and Russell Westbrook had 10 for Houston which lost four straight games after winning the first contest of the series.

Danuel House who averaged 11.4 points in nine playoff games this season, was absent. An NBA investigation showed he had an unauthorized guest in his room for several hours earlier this week, and he missed the last three games of the series.
