The Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat are two teams that will be in the mix for Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2021 if the Greek Freak becomes a free agent, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.

“The Dallas Mavericks are gonna be at the head of the line in pursuing Giannis. They want to have a 3rd star,” Windhorst said on The Jump. “They want to keep their books clear for 2021,” he added. “I wouldn’t expect them to add any major free agents this year. They’re going to wait.”

Regarding the Heat, Windhorst commented on the fact that Bam Adebayo and Giannis are represented by the same agent. “It’s interesting to point out that Bam and Giannis Antetokounmpo have the same agent. If neither of them signs extensions this offseason, which they will both be presented with… watch out for the Miami Heat.”

The Milwaukee Bucks are expected to offer Giannis Antetokounmpo a supermax extension this offseason, something that had also been confirmed by general manager Jon Horst.
