Deni Avdija is preferring to be selected by the Golden State Warriors in the 2020 NBA Draft according to a report by Ethan Strauss of The Athletic.

“So far, Avdija’s rumored preference is for the Warriors,” Strauss wrote.  The 20-year-old Israeli forward and Winner League MVP is a projected top-5 pick and the Warriors will be selecting second overall, after Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Warriors were previously reported to be highly impressed with Avdija, both game-wise and character-wise after watching him work out and meeting with him in Atlanta. They aren’t the only team that is quite intrigued by the young player, since Atlanta Hawks, Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers are also among the suitors.

The San Antonio Spurs and the Milwaukee Bucks have also met with Avdija. If they are that attracted by the player they’ll have to trade to acquire him since the Spurs select with the 11th pick while the Bucks have the 24th pick after the Malcolm Brogdon trade with the Indiana Pacers.
