The Brooklyn Nets have begun discussions with the Houston Rockets for a trade that will land them James Harden according to Sports Illustrated’s Farbod Esnaashari. Harden was previously reported to be committed to the Rockets in the aftermath of reports regarding Russell Westbrook wanting to leave the team.

Some players that the Nets are willing to give to Rockets to bring Harden to Brooklyn include Spencer Dinwiddie, Caris LeVert, Taurean Prince and Jarrett Allen., Esnaashari says.

If Harden joins the Nets, it will bring a reunion with Kevin Durant to fruition. The two of them played together on the Oklahoma City Thunder from 2009 to 2012, the year the “Beard” was traded to the Rockets.

It would also mean the creation of a new Big Three in the NBA, one that includes Durant, Harden and Kyrie Irving.
