In a quick turnaround after Friday’s loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, a second straight defeat for the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday. Following the match versus the Charlotte Hornets, Giannis Antetokounmpo promised his side will improve moving forward into the 2020-21 NBA Regular Season.

“We’ve got to play better defensively,” he noted commenting on the unchallenged shots sank by the Hornets in the second loss in a row, “We might not end up winning 55 or 60 games but we got to build good habits as a team. We’ve got to enjoy playing basketball.”

The Greek Freak posted a 34-point, 18-rebound double-double and also dished out nine assists visiting the Spectrum Center. The two-time MVP averaging 27.8 points, 11.4 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 1.1 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game this season generates an 11-8 record for his team sitting third in the Eastern Conference.

“One person can’t win on his own. We got to trust each other,” he said again stressing the importance of strengthening the team bond, “I have to watch the tape and see why we go down 15. We are doing something wrong. We got to be able to lean on each other.”

“We got to do better and will do better,” he mentioned adding an optimistic touch on the remainder of the 2020-21 campaign, “We have a great team.”
