Not only did James Harden register his seventh triple-double with the Brooklyn Nets (30 points, 15 assists, 14 rebounds) to lift his team to an overtime win over the San Antonio Spurs, but his Monday night display made NBA history.

Harden, 31, became the first player to record 30 points, 15 assists, 10 rebounds or more with zero turnovers since the 1977-78 season (since individual turnovers have been tracked).

Kyrie Irving was not surprised by this performance. “We have to implement the phrase ‘get used to it,'” he told reporters after the overtime win. “When James is being James, it makes our job a lot easier. And so we got to get used to somebody special like that, things like that in terms of breaking records”.

Harden was the first to achieve this flawless game since 1977, while there are only three players with 30 points, 15 assists, or more with 0 turnovers since 1985, namely LeBron James, Chris Paul and John Stockton (per Stat Muse).
