Kerem Kanter: I think Enes’s first option after NBA would be Panathinaikos

Enes Kanter showed his support for Panathinaikos a number of times and has done so during the signing of Mario Hezonja as well while also sharing a glimpse of a wish to see one of the Kanters playing for the Greens.

His younger brother Kerem has been already playing in Greece as he joined Kolossos back in September and, during an interview with ERT’s show “Jambol”, he said that, knowing his brother, Enes would love to play for PAO once he’s done with the NBA.

“It’s funny. Before the signing of Hezonja, my brother showed his support for Panathinaikos through social media. I think that once he’s done with his NBA career, his first option would be Panathinaikos. Growing up, he and I watched the Greek League and that’s one of the reasons why I decided to come to the Greek League, how competitive it is. But I’m thinking, why not both of us,” he said and shared a bit of the duo’s dream.

“He and I never played on the national team together. That was our dream. I would love to play for the national team. As soon as they call me, I’ll be there on the next flight. But I think that is one platform the two of us can play on the same team and since that’s not happening anytime soon, I feel like Panathinaikos is the best alternative.”
