LeBron James was diagnosed with a high sprain on his right ankle and will be out indefinitely per the Los Angeles Lakers.

James suffered the injury during the first half of the Lakers’ 99 – 94 defeat to the Atlanta Hawks when Solomon Hill tried to steal the ball and collided with LeBron’s leg. The NBA superstar was forced to exit the game in pain.

After the match, Lakers’ center Montrezl Harrell accused Hill of ill intent. “We don’t feel like it was one of those basketball-type plays,” said Harrell.  Dennis Schroder characterized the play as “unnecessary.”

Hill tweeted the following: “would never disrespect the game and take a player out purposely… he knows that. that’s all that matters to me. praying for a speedy recovery.

The Lakers are already without Anthony Davis and will be minus LeBron for an unknown number of games. James’ teammates believes that his absence won’t be long.

“He’s bounced back before and he will in a couple of days. So, I’m not worried,” Schroder said while Harrell commented that he doesn’t think the injury will set James back that much.
