Jayson Tatum has his best game yet as the Boston Celtics overcame Minnesota Timberwolves 145-136 in overtime on Friday. Tatum posted 53 points – 35 of which in the second half and overtime –  on 16-of-25 shooting, along with 10 rebounds and four assists.

23-year-old Tatum surpassed Larry Bird’s milestone, who hit the 50-point mark at the age of 26.

“To score 50 is a big thing in this league and especially at this age,” Tatum said after the win. “It’ll be a night I always remember, and we got the win on top of that — a big win.

And it wasn’t the only 50-point performance of the night! Zach LaVine also dropped 50 points, 39 of which in the first half, as the Chicago Bulls fell to the Atlanta Hawks.
